Press Release [1]: RiscDomain goes from strength to strength [2]

announcements [3]
Until recently, RiscDomain has been a rather sporadic publication, missing it's published deadlines by quite a bit. In a recent announcement though, Dave Bradforth, owner, publisher and wizzard in charge has decided that the mag is to come out monthly, with a firm set of titles for each edition.

RiscDomain is also breaking the current trend for paper based RISC OS [4] magazines in two ways - firstly, it is now paying 50UKP per published article (and is looking for contributions) and secondly, Dave has confirmed that the cover mount CDs containing tonnes of freeware, shareware and commercial packages will continue.

At the two recent RISC OS events, Dave was amazed at the number of new subscriptions, saying only that he was "pleased" with the number.

If you want to write for the magazine, it's as simple as emailing Dave Bradforth [5] sending along a page of (say) a software review.

Subscriptions

Given the nature of the magazine, the cost will depend on what is in the magazine, with prices ranging from 3 to 5 UKP per issue. This gives RISCDomain the financial freedom to include more per magazine, obtain exclusive software and do other fantastic stuff!

Recent usenet comments

The testimony on usenet for magazines usually pulls no punches. If it is bad, boy do you know about it!

Yet again, RISCDomain bucks that trend. There is yet to be any comments negative about it's content, layout, approach or quality. It has even been recommended as a replacement magazine if your AU subs are up and you want something which takes more than 10 minutes to get through!

How can a magazine which cant meet a bi-monthly deadline hope to deliver on time when it has half the time to prepare?
