Although I had not known Mike as long as many others, I felt that we had become good friends over the last year or so. I often gave Mike a lift in the car to WACG meetings and will miss our little conversations on the journeys. Mike was very good at telling stories about his past and had some really interesting tales to tell.

It is with very great sadness, I have to announce that Mike Wilson (aged 78) tragically died on Saturday evening - November 3rd as a result of House fire.
Mike had been a very enthusiast member of the Wakefield User group for 15 years, being on the committee and co-organiser of the Wakefield show.
Some of you may well have seen some details of the event on the local news or on teletext in the Yorkshire. The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, it is still being investigated by the authorities.
We do not yet have any details regarding the funeral. If anyone wishs to have details when known please contact the me.
A brief pause will be called at Wednesday's User Group meeting as a mark of respect.
