announcements [3]
Professor Steve Furber, one of the pricipal designers of the ARM 32-bit RISC microprocessor, as used in native RISC OS [4] kit, will be visiting the RISC OS North West User Group on Wednesday 21st May 2008 and giving a talk about that development.
Several years ago, when the club used to meet at Manchester University (where Steve works), he came to give a talk and demonstrated the Amulet asynchronous processor and gave a very interesting talk to the members of the club.

Steve has managed to find time to fit in an evening talk at RONWUG (now based in Sale rather than Manchester University). The venue is really easy to get to by car and there's a local Metrolink station not too far away for those travelling by public transport.

A map is available at:
The group web site [5].
