announcements [3]
With December fast approaching, the RISC OS [4] Ltd. RISC OS Roadshow becomes ever closer.

RISC OS Ltd. have gathered all the exibitor details and have been able to release the details who who's attending which venues. Although there is a slight regional variation, many exibitors are attending 2 or more of the venues.
First up, RISCOS Ltd. themselves.
RISC OS Ltd. [5] will be at all three events (to be expected really) and will be showing off the latest developments of the RISC OS [6] Select scheme as well as presenting special offers on Adjust ROMs and Foundation RISC User DVD.

As some may have noticed, the Wakefield show dates over the past few years have sometimes proved difficult for RISC OS Ltd. to attend due to long standing committments and so the roadshow provides an opportunity for people in the north to come and see them without travelling too far.

Advantage 6 [7] / Stuart Tyrrell Developments [8] - being based in the North West, have confirmed their attendance at both the Birmingham and Manchester venues. On show, will be a few flavours of the A9 systems and other popular products such as the Unipod and A6 computers.

APDL [9] - will be attending the London venue only. The usual wide range of products from hard drives to the multitude of software applications will be available

Archive Publications [10] will be on hand at all three venues and will be selling their new compilation booklets as well as subscriptions to both Archive and Living With Technology magazines.

The ARM Club [11] will be in attendance at the Birmingham venue only and will be taking subscription renewals and selling their range of software applications and Magazine CD. They will also be able to field any requests for advice on RISC OS related issues

Castle Technology [12] will be present at the three venues and will be demonstrating and selling their Iyonix range of computers

CJE Micros [13], again at all three events, will be bringing as much as they can carry from their wide range of hardware and software products.

Visitors are advised to let them know in advanace if there is something very specific required.

Icon Technology [14] will be offering the latest version of Easiwriter / Techwriter products (8.5) at all three venues. Some significant features
have been added recently, including View structure bars for asisting document structure organisation.

Mathmagical Software will have their Sudoku software and other products such as TurtleChalk. Mathmagical will also be at all three venues

MW Software [15] will be travelling all the way from Germany to be in attendance at the Birmingham and Manchester venues and will be demonstrating the latest version of ArtWorks 2.5. One major feature recently added was Direct PDF export

Qercus / Finnybank [16] will be in attendance at Birmingham and Manchester venues. Selling Qercus [17] Magazine back issues and subscriptions, as well as
their range of FD Games, EFF Fonts and Topic Art CDs.

RISC OS North West User Group [18] / Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club [19] - I will be present at the Manchester venue only, representing the two local computer clubs with which I am involved. I will be demonstrating RISC OS in general from a user's point of view and available to chat if people want to know a little bit more about either of the clubs or general RISC OS use. On the stand I'll have a Bush Set Top Box running a RISC OS desktop and an 80's classic Chuckie Egg, and an A9 Home running various software, plus a few other bits.

R-Comp [20] will attend the Birmingham and Machester venues and will be demonstrating a range of RISCube and RISCbook machines running RISC OS. Also available will be UniPrint 2 software for printing to Windows printers and various software and network products besides.

If anyone (visitors or exhibitors) wanst a little local knowledge about the area surrounding the Brittania Hotel in Offerton (directions or pubs, chippys etc), I might be able to assist. This is fairly close to where I lived for many years and I visit reasonably often.
