Report [1]: RISC OS gets embedded [2]

news [3]
RISCOS Ltd have announced that RISC OS [4] is to get the embedded treatement and that work is well underway for ARM7500 and SA1100 chipsets.

The first machine to have this technology on board is being developed by Castle for their Neuron product.
Unfortunately, there is very little else said on the subject over how this is going to happen with the amount of hardware abstraction required to get RISC OS [5] to run on anything other than a desktop machine (this includes the laptop).

While it will be good to get RISC OS out into the embedded market, how this will happen will be "interesting" to say the least.

I though RISC OS LTd only had the licence for the desktop. Surely the embeded RISC OS would have to be done by PACE!
