ICQ Update planned :: My RISC OS

Maybe some people haven't noticed, but AcornICQ doesn't function well anymore. ICQ has been taken over by AOL and now they have changed the protocol drasticly. They don't support the old protocols fully. It's only possble to login and to send messages. All other functions won't work.

So we (aICQ developers) have decided to recreate aICQ from scratch...
and build an advance plugin system so it would be easy for everyone to create new functions for aICQ. Now we're brainstroming for ideas and though maybe some other like to join in as developer because we're beginning with a new program, so everyone may have a lot of influence aICQ will become or may have nice ideas to implement.

So everyone : join in so aICQ will soon (few months?) be rebuilt and up to date with the current protcol

So when you have a lot of spare time (or not) reply to : acornicq-users@lists.sourceforge.net so you could become a developer!

Excellent news. I have had quite enough of using 2001B on the PC Card.

Hopefully, with the plug-ins, it will be a Generic IM system?
