There ought to be an option to display comments fully expanded in one view, so you can see replies to comments without clicking the reply.

We also should be able to choose what goes in the left hand nav bar, and in what order.

Navigation needs some sorting as well. Sticking the forum in 'other options' is just bizarre. There's not enough structure or organisation. 'Recommend Us' as a main link but 'Forum' as 'other option'?! Crazy.
The difference between Topics and Sections and Categories? A big fat mess atm. Why aren't reviews classed as any of the above?

Option to display whole articles on the front page would be nice, instead of the 'oh! there's a read more link!' situation now. If articles are large, a summary (and maybe a quote) should be posted, not the begginning of the article.

And option to get rid of the stupid pop-up message box.[addsig]

    >>There ought to be an option to display comments fully expanded in one view, so you can see replies to comments without clicking the reply.

There is - Change the view to 'nested' or 'flat' at the top of the comments - you can set this permanently by editing your comments preferences in 'My Account'

    >>>>We also should be able to choose what goes in the left hand nav bar, and in what order.

This may be added at some point - no promises.

    >>>>Navigation needs some sorting as well. Sticking the forum in 'other options' is just bizarre. There's not enough structure or organisation. 'Recommend Us' as a main link but 'Forum' as 'other option'?! Crazy.

Agreed, however it's all been changed anyway

    >>The difference between Topics and Sections and Categories? A big fat mess atm. Why aren't reviews classed as any of the above?

Topics are for discreet news areas, Categories are a higher, even meta level - eg. RISC OS, Linux and Microsoft are all topics which may also be referenced in the category of 'Operating Systems'. This is all likely to change over the coming months as the software we are running is developing more into a full on content management system with much greater flexibility.

    >>>>Option to display whole articles on the front page would be nice, instead of the 'oh! there's a read more link!' situation now. If articles are large, a summary (and maybe a quote) should be posted, not the begginning of the article.

Again, this may develop along similar lines to the length of comments system in 'My Account'

    >>>>And option to get rid of the stupid pop-up message box.

It's gone - I'm glad it was a temporary thing - now you can opt to use it or not by clicking on the 'Instant Messenger' link in the main menu.
