    Since most comments tend to be quite short, would it be better if comments were all listed on the same page, rather than needing to click on each one separately to view it?

    Apologies if this has been discussed already, or if it's just something I need to change in my settings

    You have the option to view the comments in either - threaded (default), nested (indented) or flat views - to temporarily adjust this, pick the relevant option at the top of the comments and then click 'Refresh'

    There are other options too, including turning of the comments altogether should you so wish.

    You can also go to 'My Account' in the main menu and click the 'Configure comments' to set your permanent preferences as to how they are displayed.
