If this is the case why are they so worried about Virtual Acorn/RPC-SE, etc...

That's strange or maybe the articles are way too old or something...

Anyway, if this opensourcing is true, does that mean a project like AROS (Amiga Research Operating System) for Amiga may start up?

I have a codename that would make it not too confusing with AROS... ARiscOScrat Smile lol

(But then you guys don't *need* the A on the start...)

Anyway I was just playing there, but seriously, while I'd expect that ARM Development takes priority, an x86 port of an Open RiscOS would be awesome... it could even cement ADFS as a file system of choice! and/or integrate with Linux... (Riscbuntu Anyone?)

Note: It seemed to be AROS's goal to be API compatible with Amiga's latest OS... if the Risc Ltd, or whatever company were willing to work with developers, it might be possible for an OpenSource RiscOS to do that too...

Just a quick afterthought... even if its not opensourced and/or opensourcing, as long as the company responsible for RiscOS don't mind, (best involve them right from the start if anyone's planning to do this) so theres really no need to wait,

Of course that being said, the more source released if any will be the easier the job will be
