For Microsoft Word files, there's AntiWord which is free and can give you the basic text of a Word file, and Easi/TechWriter from Icon Technology that can both import and export Word files. Easi/TechWriter can also handle RTF files.

As for graphics, ChangeFSI can handle lots of different graphic formats, as can lots of other freely available programs, like png2spr, InterGIF, etc..

The version of ChangeFSI supplied with Select. The standard RISC OS version doesn't do PNG and has trouble with some GIF's and Jpeg's.

Alternatively almost any web browser should eb able to display them.

For images...

you can do much worse than David Pilling's Image Master. This often comes bundled with Scanners from RISC OS dealers and is an excellent image processor / converter.

Also there is ImageFS which comes with all versions of RISC OS 4 as far as I know.
