Downloads Active! 1172 Reads announcements
The Downloads section is up and running, it has some 'get started' categories so now just needs populating with your favourite download links.

The downloads system allows you to rate the downloads, write reviews of the items and also report broken links to help make this one of the most versatile and useful resources for your RISC OS downloads.

Already, within 2 days of the launch, My RISC OS has moved on to its own server (I got bored hacking about!) ;-)

Some people may have to wait a little while for their ISPs DNS servers to start pointing to the new place. However if you are reading this, then you are in the new place already!

Co-Comp Ltd today announced the launch of a new web portal to support and enhance the RISC OS community.

The portal is named My RISC OS and is aimed at enabling the sites' users to submit news articles, tutorials, have discussions, co-ordinate downloads and collect links etc.

The portal has many exciting features including the integration of messaging systems, chat facilities, downloads and multiple language choices.

The feature that sets this portal apart from some of the others aimed at RISC OS users, is the ability for visitors to submit news and articles themselves in a similar style to Slash Dot (/.).

My RISC OS is a collaborative effort that is looking for support from its users to enhance the style and features available. Several administrators have volunteered their assistance, we need you to submit news, visit the site and get involved.

In particular, there is a need for graphics to be created, icons, logos etc. so if you want to volunteer to help out with this or any other aspects of My RISC OS, then in the first instance, contact the Webmaster
