A new network card 1346 Reads hardware
Reports from the South West Show have described this new product but some have understated its specification. A collaboration between four of the best RISC OS developers has produced the NET100 - note the number!

Together with CTA Direct, R-Comp Interactive and Stuart Tyrrell Developments, Simtec Electronics have produced a 100Mb network card for RISC PC and A7000 computers.

RComp are pleased to announce that the first release of Messenger Pro Server Edition will be at the SouthWest Show this Saturday.

Messenger Pro Server Edition is a top-of-the-line part of the Messenger Pro email software family for RISC OS. The software allows RISC OS users to share email across a network to all manner of computer platforms (RISC OS, Winodws, Linux etc.).

Why do you need Messenger Pro Server?

There are many times that you need to have email flowing through a central machine on a network, especially if you want to be able to...

The Wakefield Acorn Computer Group has recently changed its name to "Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club". After a debate at the AGM in January, the members voted to change the name to reflect the new era of our faviourite computer platform.

The Wakefield Show will be held on Saturday and Sunday 18th and 19th of May 2002. Opening times will be 10:30-17:30 and 10:30-16:00 on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Please note it in your diaries now!

This announcement has been delayed partly due to several organisers' work committments and the recent sad loss of Mike Wilson who was our publicity officer. Companies or shareware authors interested in taking space at the show should now contact the address below.

Until recently, RiscDomain has been a rather sporadic publication, missing it's published deadlines by quite a bit. In a recent announcement though, Dave Bradforth, owner, publisher and wizzard in charge has decided that the mag is to come out monthly, with a firm set of titles for each edition.

In preparation for Christmas, the Cerilica web site has received some useful updates aimed at both existing and potential customers. Some new resources have been uploaded for Vantage users including a native file copy of the new great looking Cerilica pamphlet.

Cerilica is also due to attend the last RISC OS show of the year held in the Midlands. Thanks go, once more, to the ARM Club for organising this event.

It is with regret that I have to announce that I will not, after all, be editing Acorn User magazine.

When it was announced that I would edit the magazine a group of us were at an advanced stage of negotiations with a director of Tau Press to purchase Acorn User magazine. We understood that it had been agreed that two of our group would work on the magazine for a limited time prior to purchase. Soon after the announcement was made it became clear that Tau Press no longer had any interest in such an agreement. They were no longer willing to sell the magazine.

Acorn User today announced that John Cartmell has joined the team as editor of the best-selling magazine for RISC OS users. He is at present assisting in the production of the
Christmas Issue of the magazine and will take over editorial control of Acorn User in time for the first issue of 2002. John has contributed to the News and Graphics columns of the magazine for over 12 months and has also written the RISC OS 4+ previews for the My RISC OS web portal.

Readers of the Acorn newsgroups may have noticed that John has already asked there for ideas that could be used to improve Acorn User and we would
like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who took the trouble to respond to that request. Some of those ideas will find their way into the magazine from January onwards.

Cerilica will naturally be attending the largest RISC OS Show to be held in the South of England on the 20/21st October. Being the first show that Cerilica Vantage (RISC OS' latest 'killer app') will be available over the counter, we are ensuring all visitors will have a great chance to see the package perform before their eyes. For this show, TRUISM 2.5 will presented for the first time illustrating exactly why Vantage will bring RISC OS into new professional publishing arenas. Optimisation has also taken place for users of the ViewFinder video graphics upgrade to provide enhanced redraw speeds.
