Applications: Easiwriter / Techwriter 8.31 released

Sunday, February 13, 2005 - 01:11 PM, (6950 Reads)

Mike Glover of Icon Technology wrote to us a little while ago about the availability of Easiwriter and Techwriter 8.31, thanks to the efforts of Martin Wuerthner.

The new versions are fully 26/32 bit compatible meaning they will run on anything from RISC OS 3.5 to RISC OS 5. New features over version 7.11 include:

  • Support for Artworks rendering, import and printing.

  • Autosave

  • New easy to use configuration interface

  • WMF files within RTFs can be read without ImageFS2

  • Includes a full copy of Citation (worth £30)

The above is not an exhaustive list but gives a flavour of what's in store.

In addition to new features, there have been a number of important bug fixes.

Full details of the upgrade can be found on the latest news page.

The update CD contains full documentation, examples, hints and tips, a selection of complementary utilities, etc. For users of version 7, the upgrade will cost £25.00, inclusive of postage anywhere in the World (there is no VAT).

EasiWriter users can upgrade to TechWriter for an additional £25.00 inc.

Full details of upgrade paths are on The Upgrade page.

Finally, for any users requiring some support or ideas about getting the best from the products, you might like to check out the discussion group at the support pages.
