Information: The next meeting of the Manchester Acorn User Group

Tuesday, September 18, 2001 - 08:36 PM, (1338 Reads)

6:30pm for 7:15pm Wednesday 19th September (Latest Update)

Included in this meeting will be

  • An update on the My RISC OS portal (http://www.myriscos.co.uk/) by Jeremy Coates of Co-Comp Ltd.
  • Paul Middleton (Managing Director, RISCOS Ltd) demonstrating, and answering questions on, RISC OS 4+ and the Select Scheme.
Where

Trafford Metrovick Rugby & Cricket Club

Finnybank Road

Sale

Cheshire

M33 6LR

Paul will be talking about, demonstrating, and answering questions on, RISC OS 4+ and the Select Scheme. You should also be able to join the scheme on the evening! Whether you're already a subscriber to Select, or are making up your mind whether to subscribe, this should be extremely interesting. We should also have a "big screen" present, so that everyone has a decent view of what will be a first demonstration for most.

Also included in this meeting will be an update on the My RISC OS portal (http://www.myriscos.co.uk/) by Jeremy Coates of Co-Comp Ltd. Find out what has changed since last month, and what you can do to contribute!

Note that this meeting is at our new venue, even closer to M60 J7, with plentiful free parking right outside, and easy ground floor access. It is on the bus route from Manchester city centre, and is about fifteen to twenty minutes walk from Dane Road Metro station (one stop closer to the city centre than Sale Metro station). A map is available at our website, or contact us as below if you need more details.

Tea and coffee should be available at the venue, but there will be no hot food or bar facilities; however there is an off licence and Chinese takeaway a minute's walk away. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
