    Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - 12:32 PM, (6239 Reads)

R-Comp Interactive have released an Operating System upgrade (to RISC OS 5) to ARMini users, this new update contains a bundle of new features and polishes up the overall ARMini experience.

The upgrade contains updated and additional disc-based components, ranging from new bundled programs, to improved network drivers, to hardware floating point examples, to CMOS ram tools. Upgrading has been made as simple as possible by allowing users to run a small desktop application that guides them through the process in a very user-friendly way.

The new ARMini operating system gives the user a smoother desktop experience, with particular improvements to dragging windows etc. It also has enhanced USB device support, improves the computer's built-in card reader functions and improves handling of removable storage devices on the front USB ports. The update incorporates the new “filer action” window with a percentage completed bar during copy/delete operations.

All new ARMini computers sold by R-Comp will come with the update pre-installed, if you're an ARMini owner and you haven't received the update, get in touch with R-Comp and they'll issue you with it.
