Applications: DrawPrint update from Sine Nomine

    Saturday, May 09, 2009 - 09:21 AM, (3061 Reads)

A few hours after Draw Print version 1.15, the next update in the series was up and available for free download for anyone who may wish to use it. It can be downloaded from http://sinenomine.co.uk/software/.

DrawPrint allows you to print a Draw file (or Sprite or JPEG) over several pages at the scale of your choice. The program was originally written to create a way of printing on the Iyonix from NetSurf, but the program has is also very useful for printing family tree's, Excel spreadsheets via. ViewXLS, posters, and whatever else you wish!

    What's in this new update?

Hilary Phillips of Sine Nomine Software in Dundee, Scotland explains what's in the new update "The latest version fixes the bugs introduced in 1.14 which meant text area objects didn't render properly any more, and that nothing rendered properly unless it was aligned top left on the paper. There are also some improvements to the rendering of text area objects, and a further bug has been fixed which caused images to sometimes be rescaled when you weren't expecting them to.

Version 1.14 introduced an intelligent page splitting algorithm to avoid cutting lines of text in half across page breaks (in the y direction only).  This is user-configurable to extend to other Draw objects if desired."

You can download the latest and past versions of Draw Print from Sine Nomine Software's website, free of charge, http://sinenomine.co.uk/software/#DrawPrint.
