Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 11:24 PM, (1467 Reads)

CodeWeavers announced yesterday, their 'CrossOver Plugin' for Linux which enables the display of MS Windows Browser plugins and Office Files in Linux.

Their Press Release shows that QuickTime, Shockwave Director, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be opened by Linux browsers or email clients.

Future versions are expected to support virtually all Windows plugins and file viewers.

I hope you've got an x86 emulator handy then.
Oh, and a port of Wine too.

Shouldn't be any problem for budding RISC OS programmers, of course :p

You'd be much much better off making RISC OS-native plugins.
