Press Release: Omega at RISC OS North West User Group!

Tuesday, July 09, 2002 - 09:30 AM, (2168 Reads)

The next meeting of the RISC OS North West User Group (RONWUG) will be:

The MicroDigital Omega
David Atkins (Managing Director, MicroDigital Ltd)

7pm for 7:45pm, Wednesday 17th July 2002

Trafford Metrovick Rugby & Cricket Club
Finnybank Road
Sale
Cheshire
M33 6LR

Not only should the prototype be on display to see and try out, but David will of course be talking about the Omega, and about MicroDigital's wider development programme and future plans. MicroDigital's activities are much more extensive than just producing a couple of computers, and this is the chance to hear the details from David himself (rather than by rumour from other sources). There will also be the opportunity for questions. As always, there should be the chance to talk about RISC OS matters more generally, or to seek help with any problems you're having with your own RISC OS setup. However, this aspect of the meeting may be more limited than usual, given the presence of the Omega! Tea and coffee should be available, admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

The venue is just a few hundred yards from M60 J7, with plentiful free parking right outside, and easy ground floor access. It is on the bus route from Manchester city centre, and is also about fifteen to twenty minutes walk from Dane Road Metro station.

For more information, see the RONWUG website at http://www.ronwug.org/ ; email us as info@ronwug.org ; or phone John Cartmell on 0161 969 9820. A map is available via the website (or by email!), or we can talk you through any other help you may need to reach the meeting.

Subsequent RONWUG meetings at the same venue will be held on the third Wednesday evening of each month. Thus the next meetings after 17th July will be Wednesday 21st August 2002 and then Wednesday 18th September 2002. It is planned that the 21st August meeting will feature Paul F Johnson covering the sound facilities of the RiscStation.
