Articles: New Network Card Seen Live In Action At Wakefield

Friday, April 05, 2002 - 01:11 AM, (848 Reads)

At the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club on Wednesday 3rd of April 2002, R-Comp were talking about Networking amongst other things. Members and visitors present were treated to a
demonstration of one of the new 10/100 NIC
Network cards (being designed and produced in
conjunction with Simtec, RiscStation and STD) in
a RISC PC, talking to a PC Laptop.

The card was the real production stock part,
fully functioning. There was just one minor
thing missing and that was the metal blanking
plate which covers the remainder of slot where
the connector is in the back of the computer.
These are currently being produced and should be
completed quite soon.
